Roulette call bets types and how to make them correctly

roulette call bets

Roulette call bets are usually referred to separate group of roulette bets as opposed to inside or outside stakes as they are common mostly for French variation of the game.

Roulette call bets are also called announced bets, but there is actually a little difference between the notions: usually call bets do not demand that players place the appropriate amount of chips on roulette table immediately while in case of announced bets this is an obligatory condition.

However, some countries, for instance Great Britain, consider such roulette betting strategy as gambling in credit and define it illegal.

There are several types of roulette call bets, which comprise different numbers, and at first sight it could seem that there is no system at all how the numbers are grouped.

However, in reality there are some rules that define which positions on roulette wheel would be included in certain call bet.

Voisins Du Zero

The name Voisins du zero means 'neighbors of zero' in French and is used for call bet, which consists of 17 numbers between 25 and 22 (including themselves) on the wheel and are actually: 25, 2, 21, 4, 19, 15, 32, 0, 26, 3, 35, 12, 28, 7, 29, 18, 22.

Jeu Zero

Jeu zero means 'zero game' and is also called 'zero spiel' in Germany.

Jeu zero call bet includes 0 and the numbers that are located close to its position, which are 15, 35, 32, 26, 3, 12.

Tier or Le tiers du cylindre

Le tiers du cylindre is translated as 'the third of the wheel' and is used for the call bet that comprises 12 numbers, which are place between 33 and 27 inclusive and opposite to each other on the roulette wheel.

Tier call bets are considered to be rather profitable and beat other types of announced bets in terms of house odds and players winning chances.

Orphelins means 'orphans' in English and include the numbers, which are not included in Voisins du zero and Le tiers du cylindre call bets.

There are just 8 numbers left, which are the following: 9, 31, 14, 20, 1, 6, 34, and 17.

XX and the neighbors

XX and the neighbors bets are in some sense universal and very flexible as they imply that gamblers could bet on any number and the next two numbers on both sides of it.

Final Bets

Final bets are also called 'finals' or finale and include numbers, which end on the same figure.

For example, finals 5 consists of 4 numbers, which are 5, 15, 25 and 35; while finals 7 comprises just 3 numbers: 7, 17 and 27.
